Casco Viejo, Panama City

The Casco Viejo neighborhood of Panama City is lovely. It’s still in the process of being renovated – passing one or two or three beautifully restored buildings, the next one is still a shell, with palm trees growing inside. But the restored ones are fantastic.

I came across a workshop for Carnaval – also had a giant bear, tiger, zebra… I don’t even know what they make these things out of!

I stayed at a very run-down Waldorf Astoria. Despite having nice front desk and bell staff, there were some… failings.

This one was epic: salmon, arugula and cream cheese… on a blueberry bagel. Three days in a row.

So how do you like Panama so far?
